The Farm Manager will work directly with the Owner, Head Grower, and Compliance Officer daily. This position will ultimately be responsible for all day-to-day workings of the entire facility.
Direct and coordinate worker activities overseeing planting, irrigation, maintenance, harvesting, marketing, sales, and record keeping.
Coordinate growing activities across all departments – flowering, vegetative, equipment maintenance, drying and curing, and other related departments.
Purchase all necessary machinery, equipment, and supplies.
Hire, discharge, transfer, and promote workers.
Enforce safety regulations and policies.
representing the organization to customers, the public, government, and other external sources.
Documenting/Recording Information – Entering, transcribing, recording, storing, or maintaining information in written or electronic form.
Monitoring and Controlling Resources – Monitoring and controlling resources and overseeing the spending of money.
Making Decisions and Solving Problems – Analyzing information and evaluating results to choose the best solution and solve problems.
Performing Administrative Activities – Performing day-to-day administrative tasks such as maintaining information files and processing paperwork.
Staffing Organizational Units – Recruiting, interviewing, selecting, hiring, and promoting employees in an organization.
Inspecting Equipment, Structures, or Material – Inspecting equipment, structures, or materials to identify the cause of errors or other problems or defects.
Estimating the Quantifiable Characteristics of Products, Events, or Information – Estimating sizes, distances, and quantities; or determining time, costs, resources, or materials needed to perform a work activity.
- Bachelors degree in relatable field – agriculture, horticulture, botany, biology, etc
- 5+ years of previous commercial experience
- Strong leadership experience managing teams of 30+ members
- Experience managing operations with 5,000+ plants
- Experience creating organic and non-organic programs
