Eurocan is a new company specialising in the exciting new medical cannabis field. If you are looking to work in a highly dynamic environment where the demands are extremely high, but the rewards are too then this is for you! You will be challenged to build the QA department from the ground up and manage all QA related tasks. You need to have the ability to multi-task, work independently and meet CEO expectations.

What You Will Do 

  • Establish and enforce GACP, EUGMP and GPP 
  • Provide technical and regulatory input with regards to growing, packaging and production 
  • Ensure compliance meets European QA guidelines with regards to production, facility, security, storage, packaging, labeling, import/export and distribution 
  • QA will investigate any deviances or incidents and find root causes on a case by case bases 
  • All equipment used in: production, processing or packaging must be reviewed and approved by QA, this includes validating equipment according to SOP Validation 
  • Maintenance of Quality Manuals and Quality Policies 
  • Approve all raw materials used in the production of cannabis; this includes pesticides and fertilisers.
  • Design, enforce and follow record keeping protocols 
  • Verify training manuals are up to date and that staff is up to date with all training. Create ways to verify staff training Eg: tests, quizzes. 
  • Ensure all destroyed, refused or waste products are destroyed and managed according to current SOPs and regulations 
  • Co-ordinate all key product issues Eg: complaint handling, recall coordination, investigations on failures/deviations and implementing corrective and preventative actions (CAPA).
  • Ensure these CAPA cases are closed in an appropriate and timely manner 
  • Hold regulatory in house audits and self-inspections 
  • Be readily available as key point of contact for all external audits on site 
  • Manage the sanitation program to make sure that production, packaging, labeling and storage activities are done under strict sanitary conditions
  • Manage, amend and maintain all SOPs
  • Review all testing documents pertaining to each batch of product prior to sale, look at raw data, Certificate of Analysis and reports  

Qualifications and skills

  • Bachelor of Science in a technical discipline 
  • 1+ year of experience as Quality Assurance manager/lead role in a GACP, GMP and GPP workplace only 
  • Fluent in English
  • Knowledge of EUGMP, GACP and GPP extremely helpful 
  • Experience in writing and perfecting SOPs as well as working with internal and external audits
  • Must possess police clearance
