JOB DETAIL

The selected individual will advance the Company’s mandate of manufacturing premium quality marijuana infused edibles and extracts. This position is responsible for managing commercial production and the commercial production team as well as working with staff and consultants to refine existing processes and develop new products.

CORE FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Overseeing extraction staff, edibles production staff, sales staff, compliance and administration
  • Communicate with corporate office, prepare budget reports, ensure superior facility operation
  • Manage product quality to ensure highest standards are reached
  • Overseeing operating highly sophisticated extraction equipment
  • Processing concentrates and extracts
  • Maintaining strict inventory records of all extraction facility materials, chemicals and equipment used
  • Coordinate sales effort with Marketing and Sales Management teams
  • Responsible for maintaining the organization and cleanliness of the extraction facility
  • Implement strategies in alignment with the strategic initiatives and provide a clear sense of direction and focus
  • Monitor operations and trigger corrective actions
  • Responsible for hiring and managing the expansion of facilities

Requirements

  • Knowledge of medical and recreational marijuana law and medicinal benefits
  • Experience with MIPs production and oil extraction techniques that adhere to strict health and safety policies and procedures
  • Familiarity with various extraction processes, specifically cold alcohol extraction
  • Knowledge of scientific laboratory procedures and techniques as used in a chemistry laboratory
  • Knowledge of Health and safety practices and precautions applicable to a chemistry laboratory
  • Capabilities with computer systems, software, and hardware common to laboratories
  • Experience training and mentoring extraction facility technicians and scientists with techniques for analysis and good extraction facility practices
  • Effective time-management skills and ability to multi-task
  • • Valid driver’s license
  • Post-secondary degree in Biochemistry, Chemistry, or Chemical Engineering
