JOB DETAIL

The HR Administrator is an entry-level position whose main responsibilities will be to maintain and update employee records, as well as manage various HR documents and internal databases, such as holiday and leave. The HR administrator will act as the first point of contact to employees and external partners for all HR related queries. As a priority, The HR administrator will handle the

majority of employee documentation, including contracts, recruitment paperwork as well as new

hire paperwork and documentation.

Your responsibilities as the HR administrator will include:

  • Forming and maintaining employee records
  • Preparing and amending where necessary HR documents, i.e. employment contracts, new hire paperwork, benefits documents, etc.
  • Reviewing and renewing company policies and legal compliance
  • Communicating with external partners
  • Reporting regularly on HR metrics, such as company turnover
  • Being the first point of contact for employees on any HR related queries
  • Assisting with payroll by providing the department with relevant employee information
  • Helping with various arrangements internally, from travel to processing expenses

Preferred Skills:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Experience as an HR Administrator or HR Admin Assistant
  • Ability to be organized and prioritize

Education and Experience required:

  • B.A. or B.S. degree with at least 2 years of administrative experience
  • Understanding of South Africa labour laws
  • Interpersonal and strong communication skills
