Description
Head Growers will be trained and report to the Director of Cultivation. They will pamper every plant from seed to flower, ensuring the plant is cultivated and nurtured utilizing the most state-of-the-art equipment. Other tasks include the selection and development of genetic strains and seeds, cloning, potting and transplanting, designing and maintaining nutrient regiments, feeding plants, defoliation, topping, flushing, foliar and calcium sprays, harvesting, drying, packaging, waste disposal inventory management.
Job Responsibilities
Perform and manage all aspects of growing selection and development of genetic strains and seeds, cloning, potting and transplanting, designing and maintaining nutrient regiments, feeding plants, defoliation, topping, flushing, foliar and preventative sprays, trimming, harvesting, drying, packaging, waste disposal inventory management
Manage a large-scale production facility, ensuring cleanliness of , managing budget, cost, performing general administrative duties, and purchasing materials as needed
Manage data collection for accuracy and ensure all tracking is compliant with government regulations
Liaise with Director of Cultivation on timelines for upcoming projects
Assist in and/or maintain growing protocols and nutrient regiment
Manage plant scheduling and organization to precisely project all garden needs on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis
and analyze each individual strain from clone to flower to harvesting
Execute preventative maintenance and ensure an Pest Management program is in place
Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for Good Production Practices (GPP)
Responsible for ensuring that medical cannabis is handled in accordance with SOPs
Handle all documents and associated responsibilities as they pertain to the receiving of raw materials, propagation, sowing, growing, drying, harvesting, packaging, storage, picking, destroying, shipping and distribution of the medical cannabis
Act as the Responsible Person in Charge on the Company’s Medical Cannabis license.
Requirements
Tertiary education in, Agriculture, Horticulture, or equivalent would be preferred
Strong understanding of genetics and plant care including a comprehensive knowledge of strains (, Indica hybrids)
Knowledge and experience with large scale commercial plant cultivation including nutrient requirements, mediums, light requirements, temperature control, air flow, etc. and harvesting/trimming, drying, curing, manicuring
Knowledge of techniques and equipment for planting, growing and harvesting medical cannabis products for consumption (including storage/handling techniques)
Experience with operating industrialized indoor grow systems and mastery of soil growing methods (including micronutrients, beneficial bacteria nutrient implementation)
Must not have any criminal convictions or arrests involving drug-related ,
