 Android

We’ve got an App running on Android — and, of course the source-code is available. This application is use for the POS(/pos) and also has Socket Mobile scanner integration for farm or retail usage.

We’ve got an App running on iOS — and, of course the source-code is available. This application is use for the POS(/pos) and also has Socket Mobile scanner integration for farm or retail usage.

 Hardware Integration

The application integrates with all kinds of hardware through Windows Desktop applications or utilities on a Raspberry Pi.

Any Operating System

Our software works on any platform:  Windows,  Mac, Chromebook or  Linux,  Android,  iOS or Windows tablets, Android and iOS (8+) phones.

Older computers, like those running Windows 7 or Windows 8 are still supported, however Internet Explorer is not. On these system you will need to use Firefox, Chrome or other compatible browser.

Minimal Network Requirements

OpenTHC even works well over slower networks and doesn’t require a (more expensive) static IP from your service provider.

No Firewall Configurations or Open Ports

Unlike other solutions OpenTHC doesn’t require any open ports or for you to disable the Windows Firewall.

Lab Portal

OpenTHC Lab portal streamlines communication between Labs, their customers, and regulatory systems. Easily track samples, add results, and submit COAs to your customers and your state’s regulatory system.

Laboratories

The customer will provide a link to their sample in the system, or it can be found manually. QA results can be entered through the WebUI or the API.

Grower/Producer/Processor

Using the API or our WebUI enter the basic details of the QA sample identifier, then simply share the link with your laboratory.

This QA portal can also connect to your regulatory system, for automatic import of Sample items into your profile.

API

The API provides a method for integrators to both publish and query detail QA result data.

Third-party software integrators can connect into this system, using standard OAuth2 credentials. Simply register and create an Application – similar to other web-applications you know and love. The API is open to supplier, integrators and laboratories.

The API is quite simple, there are really only three operations.

  • Create QA Sample – The Grower/Producer/Processor creates the Sample record
  • Update QA Sample – The Laboratory will update the record with their own data.
  • Search QA Sample Result Data – Downstream business, retailers and even the end-consumer.

Customizable

The OpenTHC solution is fully customizable. For common, agency specific, customizations or rule implementation the system we provide existing middle-ware. Additionally, the agency can create their own middle-ware with just a few lines of code. If more in-depth modifications are necessary, well, the entire functionality is at your disposal.

Lower Total Cost of Operation (TCO)

Open-source systems have a proven lower total cost of operation/ownership. It’s not simply savings on the cost of software; although there is some benefit there.

The real benefits are that this type of system can be deployed by existing staff, on existing infrastructure. Deployment can be completed in days, not weeks or months. Additionally, when modifications must be made (and they will) these changes can be implemented by existing staff.

Of course, in a pinch, an agency could also reach out to their other, already approved, technology providers. We also offer consulting and engineering support services as well.

Solution Components

Our solution is built on a suite of software components. The Compliance Reporting Engine or CRE is the primary data-store and interface, everything else plugs in here through a well documented API. This core system is used to drive the primary Application as well as the CRM, Laboratory / QA, Ops and Reporting components.

Each component is easily modified to agency specific requirements through simple Middle-ware. These middle-ware scripts can be used to extend our platform is nearly infinite ways. From simple rule enforcement or metrics reporting to more complex types of SSO/SAML integration.

Retail POS

Our retail Point-of-Sale platform includes in-store menus, loyalty programs, and easy inventory management for a fraction of the price that you are currently paying.

This solution uses entirely open-source components is easy to setup and maintain and easily customizable.

Cannabis Retail

Our Point of Sale “POS” replaces clunky first generation cannabis software solutions. This system was designed and built after five years of active participation in the nascent industries in Colorado, Washington, Oregon, Nevada, New Mexico and California.

Integration with your existing hardware makes migration a breeze. This POS works on Apple iPad, Android Tables, Windows, Mac and Linux Desktops. It works with your existing scanners and printer hardware which lowers costs for initial setup and migration.

The ultimate benefit to using an Open-Source solution is that YOU control what the system does and how it behaves. You have your choice of service providers — our system is simply the building materials and tool-set.

We provide the complete set of tools to construct your own retail experience and already integrates with the necessary regulatory systems.

Point of Sale / Checkout Terminal

The Point-of-Sale solution provides an easy to use checkout system for your bud-tenders. with ID Scanning integration it can 100% prevent an underage sales. Configurable Sales Limits prevent you from over-selling. Discounts configurable by multiple options.

The system also provides an API which allows your technical team to design custom work-flows, such as hospitality or unique resort like options.

A self-checkout module is in the works, it’s currently being held back by regulations.

Product Intake

Our POS already integrates with all of the regulatory compliance engines, which makes product intake a breeze. We have a streamlined work-flow that is very simple to follow.

The POS integrates with the OpenTHC P2P system, so when receiving materials from suppliers that integrate there it’s even easier. All product details, include complete Product descriptions and QA Test Results carry over — a unique feature to RMS/OpenTHC.

Online Ordering

Naturally we support online ordering and deliveries to your door. Payment can even be accepted via numerous integrated payment portals and we even accept Bitcoin.

Loyalty Programs

The OpenTHC Point of Sale provides a built-in loyalty program — why buy two (or more) expensive things? The loyalty program works with email, phone number or custom loyalty program cards.
